Description
This is a leadership position within our Strategy team, reporting to the Chief Strategy Officer. This team is responsible for defining and envisioning the future of Perficient and developing a strategy for successful growth. The Director will work closely with senior leadership to develop, manage, and help execute the company's strategy including driving critical initiatives across all businesses and functions. The Director evaluates current and emerging trends in the marketplace to identify and catalyze organic and inorganic growth opportunities to achieve near/mid/long-range objectives. This is a remote work opportunity.RESPONSIBILITIES
- Strategic Planning & Execution
- Work closely with executives and business unit leaders to identify, evaluate, and accelerate strategies for growth
- Foster collaborative and supportive cross-functional working relationships, including engaging the senior leadership team in the development and prioritization of long-term strategies and acting as a thought partner with the business to make effective and timely decisions.
- Lead interactions between the strategy team and the business to translate those strategies into executable initiatives with actionable activities.
- Manage and monitor progress of the strategic initiatives to ensure we are meeting our objectives.
- Generate Strategic Insights & Identify Growth Opportunities
- Develop/share knowledge and assessments of industry developments/trends and competitive dynamics to determine how the company should prepare or respond and to inform executive decision-making
- Develop a deep understanding of key current and future drivers of business performance to inform ad-hoc analyses and recommendations
- Oversee development of strategic hypotheses and validate them through targeted primary and secondary research and analysis
- Develop strategic insights that unlock potential value; translate insights to inform buy/build/partner and market-entry/ expansion decisions
- Identify and prioritize organic and inorganic business opportunities to fill gaps , enter new markets/products and/or complement existing offerings based the company's strategic goals, competitive position, and internal capabilities
- Evaluate Strategic Opportunities & Support Corporate Development
- Evaluate growth opportunities by developing business cases that clearly frame objectives, issues and challenges, and articulate compelling, insightful findings, conclusions, and recommendations
- Develop financial models, scenario comparisons and related analyses to support business cases and executive decision making
- Originate, cultivate, and help execute on external partnerships, development agreements, and joint ventures
- Support opportunity, strategic fit, synergy potential, and risk assessments of identified partners and acquisition targets
- Drive people development and cultural change
- Cultivate a broad and deep network across the company and externally
- Recruit talented individuals as collaborators and future group members
- Develop members of teams, providing feedback and coaching
- Assist with communicating and setting an example of our aspirational culture and strategic directions
QUALIFICATIONS
- 5-7 years with top-tier consulting or Fortune 500 Corporate Strategy function or equivalent experience
- Track record of strong strategic thinking, thought leadership and analytical decision making
- Ability to identify emerging industry and business trends, and to proactively identify strategic opportunities from those emerging trends
- Experience influencing across a large organization at all levels
- Ability to influence, motivate and direct a large, cross-functional teams that do not report directly into this position
- Demonstrated ability to serve as a thought leader to senior executives and develop communications for the Board of Directors.

The salary range for this position takes into consideration a variety of factors, including but not limited to skill sets, level of experience, applicable office location, training, licensure and certifications, and other business and organizational needs. The new hire salary range displays the minimum and maximum salary targets for this position across all US locations, and the range has not been adjusted for any specific state differentials. It is not typical for a candidate to be hired at or near the top of the range for their role, and compensation decisions are dependent on the unique facts and circumstances regarding each candidate. A reasonable estimate of the current salary range for this position is $149,200 to $238,700. Please note that the salary range posted reflects the base salary only and does not include benefits or any potential variable compensation programs.
