Adecco Healthcare & Life Sciences is seeking a Staff Pharmacist for an onsite pharmacy opportunity in Louisville, KY. This role supports a direct-to-patient prescription fulfillment operation, ensuring safe, accurate, and timely medication processing while delivering high-quality pharmacy services. The ideal candidate will have strong attention to detail, excellent clinical knowledge, and experience working in a high-volume pharmacy environment.
This is an excellent opportunity for a pharmacist who enjoys working in a non-retail, direct-to-patient pharmacy environment while contributing to safe and efficient medication access for patients.
Assignment Details
Location: Louisville, KY
Employment Type: Temporary-hire assignment
Schedule:
Monday–Thursday: 9:30 AM–6:00 PM
Friday: 8:00 AM–4:30 PM
Work Environment: Onsite role (no remote option, no retail)
Pay Rate: $65/hour
Primary Responsibilities
Review, verify, and process prescription orders in accordance with federal and state pharmacy regulations, company policies, and clinical standards.
Perform clinical review of prescriptions, including dosage appropriateness, drug interactions, contraindications, and patient-specific considerations.
Ensure accuracy and safety throughout prescription fulfillment workflows.
Collaborate with pharmacy technicians, order entry teams, and other pharmacy staff to resolve prescription issues and support timely medication delivery.
Provide pharmacist support and counseling to patients through phone, electronic communication, or other approved channels as needed.
Maintain accurate documentation within pharmacy systems and related clinical platforms.
Participate in quality assurance initiatives, audits, compliance activities, and medication safety programs.
Support workflow improvements and maintain pharmacy quality and efficiency standards.
Assist with training and mentoring pharmacy technicians and interns as assigned.
Required Qualifications
Active Registered Pharmacist (RPh) license in Kentucky or ability to obtain quickly.
Bachelor of Science in Pharmacy (BSPh) or Doctor of Pharmacy (Pharm.D.) degree from an accredited program.
Strong knowledge of pharmacy law, medication safety, and clinical pharmacology.
Experience with pharmacy information systems, electronic prescribing, and prescription processing.
Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, team-oriented pharmacy environment.
Preferred Qualifications
1–2+ years of pharmacist experience in retail, mail-order, specialty pharmacy, or high-volume pharmacy settings.
Experience with prescription verification (PV1/PV2) workflows.
Strong attention to detail and commitment to patient safety.
Experience supporting process improvement and quality initiatives.
